Cleaning hardwood floors can be very bothersome. You invest an undue amount of work on cleaning , simply to find out that as soon as you are finished, the floor is visually lackluster.

I am acquainted with this from practical experience. My husband and I have beautiful brazillian cherry hardwood floors across our living room and my wife and I labor hard to keep them pristine. I’ve truly tried using countless cleaning items over the last year or so in an attempt to discover the most effective means to clean hardwood floors.

Whenever you are cleaning your floors the first step you will be required to perform is clear the debris from the floor. Having two little ones and a couple of puppies, we tend to get heaps of debris in my residence!

I actually employ a hardwood push broom to get rid of the clutter. For me it’s a lot faster and easier compared to vacuuming with the vacuum cleaner and I do not need to fear about marring the floor using the vacuum.

Another concern with the vacuum is usually that the side exhaust swirls dirt, hair, and other trash around though you happen to be wanting to vacuum it up. Now available are a handful of vortex focused vacuums around that allegedly do the trick a whole lot better with hard surfaces, but I’ve not endeavored to use them.

As for cleaning the floor, I had tested out all sorts of cleaners and mops. But it really wasn’t until such time as I called our floor installer what I need to work with that I discovered the BonaKemi Hardwood Floor mop. The person suggested the BonaKemi and told me he recommends very little else.

The BonaKemi cleans more effectively than other cleaners, producing a sparkly and streak free floor. Once the floor dries it probably will not be really shiny, but, the truth is you do not want those cleaners that will result in a “shine” purely because they will build-up into residue and ultimately you may be refinishing your hardwood floors.

The mop is rather durable and works efficiently. It comes with a microfiber towel which hooks up to the head and a spray bottle that is activated with a hand pump. This honestly performs a lot better than the Swiffer WetJet considering you will end up with a nice uniform spray (much like with a spray bottle), when the Swiffer’s battery powered pump yields you a straight stream.

I strictly work with the BonaKemi mop to clean our hardwood floors now and I cherish it! The BonaKemi takes much less exertion compared to scrubbing down on your hands and knees considering the product succeeds so nicely. I still hand clean certain difficult areas, but most of the time the BonaKemi will do the task.

Eventually you will have to refinish your floors, simply because over the years the polyurethane finish will get scratched and start to look dull. The good news is that you can clean the floor and roll on another coat of urethane and it will do wonders for the floor.

Some people will tell you that you need to sand and refinish everytime, but my grandmother regularly put down polyurethane on her floors over the years and they looked great.

Hopefully this article assists anybody else that is overwhelmed with cleaning their own floors!
